
Memorandum of Understanding between Yarmouk University and the Royal Health Awareness Society
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at Yarmouk University between the University and the Royal Health Awareness Society, aiming to enhance cooperation in the fields of health awareness, family care, and building students’ capacities to lead related community initiatives and activities.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the University by Vice President for Scientific Research, Accreditation, and Global Rankings, Prof. Dr. Ruba Al-Battayneh, in the presence of Vice President for Academic Affairs and Institutional Excellence, Prof. Dr. Amjad Daifallah Al-Nasser. On behalf of the Society, it was signed by the Director General, Dr. Amal Arifej.
The MoU stipulates cooperation in preparing and developing educational content focused on family care work and household responsibilities, and integrating it into compulsory or elective university courses, in accordance with the University’s applicable regulations and instructions. It also includes organizing specialized training programs and workshops to build the capacities of faculty members and student volunteers.
During the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Al-Battayneh affirmed Yarmouk University’s commitment to strengthening its cooperation with various national institutions in a manner that serves shared developmental goals and the community, and to establishing a solid training base for students across various fields. She emphasized the importance of promoting volunteerism among university youth and implementing effective and purposeful initiatives that contribute to enhancing students’ capacities, developing their skills, and broadening their perspectives in various fields.
She also highlighted the efforts of the Princess Basma Center for Jordanian Women’s Studies in empowering Jordanian women across different sectors through the implementation of numerous projects, initiatives, and research activities, in cooperation and partnership with local and international institutions.
For her part, Dr. Arifej praised this cooperation with Yarmouk University, known for its academic competencies and the ability of its graduates and students to engage and collaborate in various developmental research projects and purposeful community activities that contribute to strengthening values of social intelligence within society.
She added that the Society aims to raise the level of health awareness in Jordanian society through the implementation of several developmental projects in cooperation with various partners, stressing that youth are the foundation of positive change.
