Jordanian women are no different from women in other nations, and you may make a significant contribution to Jordanian society, provided you are given the correct possibilities for change.
As a result, the Princess Basma Center for Women's Studies at Yarmouk University in Jordan was established, as was the involvement of women in the local community in the public and private sectors, as well as women in the academic sector (as teachers or students), in the changing trends and patterns that were prevailing negatively for Jordanian women.
And based on an understanding of the importance of integrating women and men in the overall development process, according to scientific methodology, based on the results of scientific research and studies, and work is women's empowerment, to take their natural partners active with men, and to provide them with opportunities in various fields and at all levels.
The Board of Trustees established the center at meeting No. 2011/1 on January 3, 2011.

Mission
- Conduct scientific studies and research.
- Provide consulting services.
- Provide training programs that help to provide the appropriate conditions for the promotion of Jordanian women's capabilities and prepare women leaders.
- Provide an appropriate scientific atmosphere and then activate scientific research and eating Jordanian society's issues and problems, especially those related to women's access to the most appropriate solutions, and an investment specialist cadre of faculty and industry social policy members, evaluating and communicating with planners and decision-makers to contribute to the leadership of the overall development at the national level.
