
The Princess Basma Center for Jordanian Women’s Studies at Yarmouk University participated in the workshop organized by the Jordanian National Commission for Women, in cooperation with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and UN Women, and with the support of the Danish Center for Research and Information on Gender, Equality and Diversity (KVINFO). The workshop was entitled:
“The Role of Civil Society, Human Rights Organizations, and National Institutions in Supporting the Implementation of National Action Priorities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (2025–2030).”
The Center and the University were represented by Ms. Layaly Al-Hourani, Head of the Data and Information Section, as part of the workshop proceedings, which focused on discussing national priorities for the upcoming five years in light of the Beijing +30 Report, and on strengthening the role of civil society organizations and national institutions in their implementation.
The workshop witnessed high-level participation from national and international entities, with representatives from government institutions, human rights organizations, and civil society organizations in attendance, underscoring the importance of integrated national efforts to advance women’s rights and achieve the desired progress.
