
The Princess Basma Center for Jordanian Women’s Studies participated in the consultative meeting held by the Women’s Committee of the Senate to discuss the role of Jordanian women’s studies centers at Jordanian universities and the challenges facing their work.
The Chair of the Committee, Senator Khawla Al-Armouti, affirmed the Senate’s commitment to supporting the activities of research centers specialized in women’s issues and to enhancing joint cooperation among these centers.
For her part, the Director of the Center, Dr. Batool Al-Muhaisen, highlighted the University’s rationale for establishing the Center as one of the tools that help fulfill the University’s mission in education, scientific research, and community service. She also pointed to the Center’s achievements in various fields and its existing partnerships with national and international institutions of mutual interest.
She emphasized that the Center derives its programs and future vision from the Royal visions and the actual needs of the local community, and works to highlight national achievements in this field within the University’s strategic plan
