The Princess Basma Center for Jordanian Women's Studies at Yarmouk University praised His Majesty King Abdullah II's support for the Palestinian cause and efforts to put an end to Israel's breaches of human rights and international conventions in Gaza.
The Center confirmed in a press statement that the directive of His Majesty the King and His Highness the Crown Prince to the Hashemite Charitable Organization to continue providing relief and medical materials to the brothers in Gaza and to continue the work of the field hospital in Gaza despite the current circumstances is an affirmation of the royal message of supporting Palestinian citizens' steadfastness in their homeland and supporting Palestinian women.
The statement emphasized the sisterhood relationship between Palestinian and Jordanian women. Jordanian women support and pray for their Palestinian sisters and instill Jordanian national values in their children.
The Princess Basma Center for Jordanian Women's Studies, according to the statement, is eager to carry out the university administration's directives to form effective partnerships with local and international institutions and bodies in order to support Palestinian sisters in Gaza and throughout Palestine. The Center will also keep up its efforts to conduct research studies that will bolster Jordanian efforts and those of international organizations.
Dr. Batoul Al-Muhaisen, the center's director, emphasized that working with Palestinian women to improve their development and humanitarian role and assist them in overcoming the crisis is the first step toward restoring life to the affected areas.
The Center reiterated His Majesty the King's request to the international community to immediately cease attacking civilians and women and allow relief delivery to Palestinian families.
