A meeting took place between Ahmed Al-Safadi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and a group of female students from Yarmouk University. The meeting was attended by Dr. Batoul Al-Muhaisen, the director of the Princess Basma Center for Jordanian Women’s Studies.
Al-Safadi emphasized that the House of Representatives' final year will prioritize efforts to empower women and youth. He expressed gratitude for the Princess Basma Center for Jordanian Women's Studies at Yarmouk University and the female students who showcased the capabilities and influence of Jordanian women in the political arena through their content. These women have consistently demonstrated their competence and energy, proving their ability to shoulder responsibilities.
Dr. Al-Muhaisen stated that the House of Representatives highly values its legislative and oversight responsibilities. She emphasized that Jordanian women continue to be a top priority for King Abdullah II, Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, and the Crown Prince. The monarchy's trust in Jordanian women necessitates their active involvement in political and party activities in order to have a significant presence in Parliament.
She emphasized that the center would persist in empowering female students in many fields, in accordance with the university's mission aligned with the aspirations of His Majesty the King, a source of pride for us.
